It was the worse, 4 hours through lunch (they told me at the Hampton it would be an hour and half) toward the end when they realized I wasn't interested they belittled me and insulted me (said I would wind up single forever) and that I would never get to buy a Hilton grand vacation again if I turned them down and then said I was wasting their time. It was the worse experience ever.

Very nice Joe! The offer I was given for Vegas was 3 nights for $199 but we’d get back the $199 plus $200 reservation credit on another reservation. There was also an option for $249 for 3 nights with dinner and show, but none of the shows interested us.

I was offered this promotion when I was transferred to another call after inquiring about my points. I was given several different options:

Orlando, Vegas, Chicago, New York (2 nights only for NY)
$399 for 3 nights, plus 3 or 4 night Royal Caribbean cruise, plus 20,000 HH points.
OR
Vegas
$199 – 3 nights, plus $199 credit back on my card, plus $200 for a future stay.

There were several others, but being that we were already going to be staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando at the end of this month and that property was included, we chose the Orlando deal (after over an hour on the phone going over different offers).

When I called the special reservation number with my confirmation number to make my reservation for the Orlando hotel, I was told they were sold out of presentation reservations for the weekend that we needed to go (already planned with friends previously for our Anniversaries). We ended up cancelling our deal as we were hoping to use the reservation for that weekend.

I don’t think it was a bad deal at all, and we still may consider it and call back. It’s just that we were only focused on this particular trip at the time.
