Has anyone else noticed no 5k miles AA 1-way availability recently for travel including trans-continental US domestic flights? I can’t find it anywhere but haven’t seen any articles about it. Does anyone know if that’s temporary or permanent and has anyone else noticed that or read about that somewhere?

Hi Chaz, yes you are reading that correctly. It’s also included in the fine print on Citi’s actual web site for the application. I believe they just made that change earlier this year.

“American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® account in the past 48 months.”

i was looking at this card and it says you have to wait 48 months to try again for the bonus. do you know that to be accurate? I got rid of the card just over 12 months ago and was hoping to grab the 70k bonus.

Thanks for the write up. Would you mind explaining how these points are valuable for Bolivia since AA pulled out of this country and LATAM left OneWorld for Delta?

Any help would be appreciated. This is the second time asking this question.
