As mentioned above, this card comes with 15 elite night credits, meaning you’ll only have to stay 35 nights per year to achieve prestigious Marriott Platinum elite status. However, if you also open the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card, you’ll receive an additional 15 elite night credits each year.

Where did you get the 125,000 points offer?

Mine says the account has expired and chatting with Amex says that is not a benefit of the card? Looks like Amex platinum and the Bonvoy business lost Boingo. Seems like the personal Bonvoy lost Boingo as well?

So been thinking of getting a co-branded CC. But that also means I already get a lot of the “smaller” benefits. Either from being platinum titanium member or other CC’s. So really, this only gets me the $300 credit, anniversary night and even more points when I do pay for stays.

A 50k anniversary night is worth more than the $150 ($450-$300). Could be worth close to double that.

Seems for me the big benefit would be the 6x points. But can get that on a Chase card and only $100 fee (of course no credit). Even 35k anniversary night would cover that.

Hummmm…..

The fee is high, but $300 is refunded back if you spend it at Marriotts. So for the remaining $150 you get an annual 50K certificate (approx value $400) as well as TSA precheck payment, 2x spending in points (could add up to another room per year) as well as a bump in Marriott status – if you need that… all for $150/yr. Pays for itself if you stay at Marriott family of properties

I suggest you go to the marriott/chase website and read the benefits of the Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX card.

Sorry to hear Darrick. This has always been one of my fears, that even clicking a link with a special bonus offer, where is the proof that I actually clicked the link? I think most of the time these things go through without a hitch. I’ve only ever had this problem once with a checking account bonus, with the bank going as far as claiming the offer never existed.

Sending them a screenshot and a few mentions of the CFPB and some regulatory policies sure got it fixed quickly though.

AMEX ran a promotion last March for 100k Marriott Bonvoy points after $5K spend. I accomplished over $10K spend in the required time frame but afterwards claimed that the sign up was not “tied” to the promotion even though the email was offered as proof. Have called several times to resolve, but they use delay tactics, and close the complaint without communication. Terrible service. Canceling account after 20 years of having an open a count.
