FYI you didn’t explain. For anyone wondering, it’s by holding the IHG Premier card.

You’re correct! It’s Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

For road trips, I rely mostly on Choice hotels. The only program that has refused reservations using points when rooms were available was IHG. Its also way too difficult to find an upscale IHG hotel that qualifies for the credit card annual free night, but very easy with Hyatt. Hyatt is the only one that’s never a disappointment.

Their points however remain the same, which I love. The hotel Im talking about in particular is the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale AZ

Excellent point and I agree. I’ve usually found that welcome bonuses make for a great way to earn a bunch of points, even for those deemed hard to accumulate.

We’re staying at Protea in Walvis Bay, Namibia, at this very moment 5th night free with status.
