Already encountered two places (movie theatre and restaurant) that don’t take AMEX, but takes Visa. This is causing concern for me wrt earning points.

It’s actually 1.67 cents per point with the Amex Platinum because you get the 5 pts/$ on top of the rebate. Amex Gold Biz is 1.39 cents per point.
